THE CRIMSON FIELD

Wins the Golden Palm Screenplay Competition

BEVERLY HILLS, CA (April 2014) - Winners of the 14th Annual International Beverly Hills Film Festival were announced on April 27, 2014 at a Gala Awards Ceremony held at the legendary Beverly Hills Hotel.

With 147 Screenplay Competition Finalists, THE GOLDEN PALM SCREENPLAY COMPETITION AWARD was presented to Rosie Malek-Yonan and Monica Malek-Yonan for The Crimson Field, a screenplay based on Rosie Malek-Yonan's book by the same title published in 2005 by Pearlida Publishing (www.TheCrimsonField.com).

Based on true family chronicles and historical facts, The Crimson Field is a significant non-fictional literary work by a gifted writer depicting the human miseries of a war-ravaged Assyrian nation during WWI. With the 100-year anniversary of the Assyrian Genocide soon approaching, the recognition of The Crimson Field screenplay at an international film festival is particularly timely and significant.
